Who Am I Really?

There is a mystery that surrounds adoptees, no matter where or when they were adopted. The answer to our questions of who we look like or where is she now, the mother I never knew remain a mystery because it is forbidden to talk about our unique beginnings. We wonder silently. Well, I am ready to tell my story of being born and unwanted from the start, I am ready to ask the questions that are hidden in my heart out loud. My adopted mother went to three apartments to look at and choose a baby to adopt. She chose me, like a dog in a window, because I was 'cute'. But loving a cute baby is tenuous and even at best, becomes a disaster. And so was my childhood. I will write more of my story later. Join me and write your own story of being adopted and how it has shaped you.
